Welcome to Alberta Small Engine

In 1992, Alberta Small Engine Services began with a single vision in a small repair shop in Edmonton, Alberta. Founder and owner, Tim Letourneau, combined his passion for small engines with a relentless entrepreneurial spirit, turning a simple interest into a thriving business. What started as a modest repair service has now grown into a trusted powerhouse in Edmonton’s outdoor power equipment industry. Driven by a commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction, Tim and his team pushed the boundaries of what a small engine repair shop could achieve. Through hard work, determination, and a focus on innovation, Alberta Small Engine evolved from a humble repair shop into a leading power equipment dealer and repair service in the region. Today, Alberta Small Engine is proud to be a cornerstone of Edmonton’s (YEG) outdoor power equipment community. We’re honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of providing top-tier equipment, parts and expert repairs, ensuring that our customers have the best tools to get the job done. As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain deeply committed to the values that started it all: passion, dedication, and a drive to be the best. Alberta Small Engine is no longer just the little engine that could—it’s the engine that delivers, every time.

  • What We’ve Done:
Each year, our small family-owned business continues to grow, and in 2014 we expanded our shop into our largest space yet. This allowed us to increase our operations and cater to more customers in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and surrounding areas. We made our mark in the Stihl Power Line magazine in 2017, recognized as the first dealer to sell the 5 millionth Stihl Power Head unit. In 2018 we successfully became Western Canada’s first dealership to welcome the Stihl Robotic iMow into our shop. At the end of 2018, Pfanner Protective Apparel was introduced as the latest line to our front end shop, increasing the accessibility to world class work wear for Arborists. Fast forward to the Fall of 2019, Alberta Small Engine Services was thrilled to introduce the BCS line, helping to increase productivity to all our customer's outdoor tasks. The start of 2020 welcomed an additional outdoor power equipment line, Husqvarna, providing our clients with increased choices to all their small engine needs. We are excited to announce we have moved to a new location in April 2021. This space is a bright and happy environment to continue to help our valued customers.
  • Looking into the Future:
The outdoor power equipment industry is undergoing a profound transformation. As we look toward the future, we see a landscape shaped by technological innovation, sustainability, and changing consumer demands. At Alberta Small Engine, we are excited to continue evolving and adapting to these changes. As we welcome new technologies, enhance our service offerings, and prioritize sustainability, we remain committed to providing the highest-quality products and service to our customers.
